A simple, easy-to-use Community Vulnerability Assessment Tool and resource material to help community leaders assess their vulnerability to climate change and to help develop strategies to adapt to the impacts.
Project Need:
There are many small, rural communities across Newfoundland and Labrador that are at risk to impacts from climate change. Many of those communities lack capacity to tackle climate change issues on their own. This vulnerability tool has been developed to assist communities in that process. This tool can help communities assess their vulnerability to the projected impacts of climate change and suggest options for adapting to those impacts
Project Objectives:
The objective of the project was to develop an easy-to-use tool and resource material to help communities assess vulnerability to the projected impacts of climate change.
Project Benefits:
Development of a Vulnerability Assessment Tool that is tailored to small, rural communities.
